Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with insurance brokers on selection and design of benefit plans
  • Oversee and manage a staff of four
  • Notify and enroll eligible employees in benefit plans
  • Pay and reconcile insurance carrier bills
  • Set up employee payroll deductions
  • Maintain HRIS benefit systems
  • Maintain compliance with PPACA regulatory requirements including notifications, timely enrollment, filing 1094 and 1095 documents, etc.
  • File health and welfare form 5500
  • 401k administration including all regulatory requirements, annual compliance testing and form 5500 filing
  • Proper accounting for all benefit plan payments and payroll deductions
  • Perform internal reporting on plan enrollment and benefit plan performance 
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
